Charlotte's Web

From Month 7

This month Charlotte has really impressed us with her skills. She is very, very active, to say the least and very inquisitive. Click "READ MORE" to hear about her 7th month and see pictures.

She has fully mastered crawling and enjoys making the rounds to all rooms of the house. She will crawl from room to room looking for us and then just be content playing where we are. I like to play hide and seek and chase just to watch her turn around and around in her crawling direction. Ton's of fun!

Charlotte has continued to do well with solids and is now up to 3 meals a day. Some new foods she has tried (or re-tried) this month include: banana (whole), green beans (whole), tofu, mango, blueberry, peach and prunes. Her favorite snack food is the Joe's O's which we have been using to enhance her pincer grasp skills.

Miss Charlotte is a very social baby. She LOVES being around people, especially her baby friends. She enjoys going to her playgroups and visiting friends. When we are out and about she smiles, claps, and flaps her arms when people talk to her.

A recent blessing in disguise for our family was Rick being laid off from Sprint. There had been rumors for a long time which made his work environment rather uncomfortable and the not knowing was very stressful. Once it was official it was an easy decision that Rick would be a stay-home-daddy! We couldn't be happier. And while Rick may have thought he was signing up for bon-bon's and daytime soaps his new boss (Charlotte) quickly burst that bubble!

Charlotte is loving her time with daddy during the day and Rick and I are very appreciative of the fact that at least one us gets to be with her. With Rick home this allows Charlotte to have more of a regular schedule than she has ever had and it has been helping with her sleeping at night and her mood during the day. We are also looking forward to her being able to take her first official lessons next month : SWIMMING! She loves the water and being able to take a water babies class will be heaven for her (other babies and water, wow!).
