The Happiest Place on Earth

We succumbed... I don't even like Disney... But Charlotte LOVED it!

We were planning a trip to LA to visit family and go to our family rivalry hockey game (Sabres vs. Ducks) and decided that since we were going to be there we would grant my moms #1 request from before we even borne children: to be the first to take him/her to D-land. I didn't really even want to go, but we had some friends with a little girl the same age as Char who had just gone and gave the experience rave reviews. How could I possibly miss out on her experience? I couldn't.

In the end we did 3 day park-hopper passes and ended up with 1 actual day of good weather before LA/OC got the storm of the decade (literally) and we got to wade through disneyland with poncho's, raincovers (finally got to use ours) and umbrellas. Charlotte wasn't phased, in fact she had the best time jumping in the puddles and taking refuge from the rain in the Tiki Room (tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki room).

Highlights of the trip:
She wore her minnie mouse ears long enough for a few pictures; Her first (and favorite) ride was the Carousel, quickly followed by the flying elephant (Dumbo); She kept saying "Mouse House" the entire time we were there and was truly excited to actually find a mouse in a house in toontown; The submarine ride was a lot of fun, she liked the bubbles and fish; She was only 1" too short to ride on the Matterhorn!; We got to spend time with the fam!
