From Month 13

I wasn't sure whether I would continue the monthly pictures or try to shift into a more event-specific posting style. The end result was nothing got posted (other than ice skating, of course!). These are extremely late, so I will keep it brief.

We have been waiting for the day when Charlotte would be able to start training for the 2027 Winter Olympics. Lucky for her she took to the ice like a pro. Enjoy some snapshots from our family fun day at the ice rink.

A little late but only because for every hour of video requiring editing it can take upwards of 3 actual hours to cut & assemble it into a presentable piece.

We've been working with Charlotte on signing since she was about 2 months old. Even though there was no way she was going to sign back at us at that age it was really more about us practicing using it regularly. As you can see below it really paid off. Charlotte absolutely LOVES telling you what's on her mind through the course of the day - the ability to sign has actually INCREASED her vocabulary she actively tries to say. Words like, "mama, dada, turtle, tu-tu, milk, light, don't, down, help, poop" all have their very own distinct vocalization that she says while doing the baby sign for it at the same time. There are a few others as well but it's pretty hard to recall them all now.

From Month 11

This post it super late... here we are half way through the next month already and I am just getting my act together. Charlotte has been keeping us very busy these days. The day after her 11 month birthday (July16, 2009) she decided to go from crawling to running! And she hasn't stopped moving since!

From Month 10
